The Power Of Communication

Throughout the center, we implement different methods of AACusage, such as core boards, to strengthen and grow speech and communication skills.
Our team members love utilizing these methods to encourage children to communicate in all forms, whether it’s asking a question, prompting a need or expressing a want! 
AAC can be embedded into natural and daily living routines. There are so many benefits to using AAC; it helps build and grow skills beyond just communicating.

  • AAC enhances social interaction by enabling individuals to express their thoughts, emotions, and needs effectively, thereby reducing frustration and promoting meaningful connections with others.
  • AAC supports independence by giving individuals more control over their communication, allowing them to participate actively in decision-making and daily activities

  • AAC promotes inclusion by breaking down communication barriers, ensuring that individuals with diverse communication needs can fully engage in society and access information and opportunities on an equal basis with others.

Interactive sensory gym

One of the main features of the autism center is its interactive sensory gym that encourages children to be active while growing their gross motor skills.

The gym includes sensory swings, a climbing tunnel, obstacle course and more!

Art Room

Coloring and art help children with calming the mind & body, sharpening motor skills, and allowing self-expression. We have a designated art room for children to let their creative juices flow and includes:

  • Coloring
  • Sensory bins

Library

Our library is located in the heart of our center and is full of books for all ages and interests! Reading has so many wonderful benefits to support skill development, speech & language, and creativity.

A Soothing & Safe Space

Having a safe and quiet space is important for all of us. Specifically designed to soothe and bring comfort, our quiet room provides children a safe space to regulate emotions and explore their senses with various sensory items, ambient lighting, white noise and more.
